The Wyoming Women’s Business Center has four core programs:
Business Counseling & Training – The WWBC provides free counseling and no or low cost training opportunities. Donations are used to pay guest speakers/trainers.
Microloans – Loans of $500—$50,000 are available to Wyoming startups and small businesses. Since 2002, the WWBC has loaned $1,978,000 to 120 clients. The WWBC has provided loans to childcare providers, auto mechanics, coffee shops, bicycle shops, plumbing businesses, pet grooming, drug-testing and many more. Donations are used for loans up to $50,000 to grow or start a business.
Individualized Matched Savings – Savings are matched 1:1 up to $2,000. Matched savings can be used to start or grow a business or pay expenses towards buying a home. Donations are used to match savings account to grow or start a business.
Works of Wyoming (WOW) – WOW targets Wyoming artists and provides educational training and a venue to sell their products in our downtown Laramie retail store. Sales have increased every year. 70% of sales are returned to the consignor. Donations are used to buy displays, paint or supplies to improve or maintain the retail space.
