POSITION: Business Education Instructor

SALARY: $35,000/year

REPORTS TO: Christine Langley, Business Education Director

POSITION SUMMARY: Part-Time, 20-Hour Week, Remote.

Residency in Wyoming is required.

ABOUT US:​

Founded in 1999, the Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) is a 501c3 private non-profit organization headquartered in Laramie, WY. Our mission is to empower Wyoming entrepreneurs, especially women, through our counseling, training, and microfinance programs to start, expand, and sustain small businesses in the state of Wyoming. We strive to advance self-sufficiency and equality. We do that through 3 distinct programs: (1) Business Counseling and Training, (2) Microloans, and (3) The Artist Development Center.

The Business Education Instructor works directly with the Business Education Director in fulfilling key strategic initiatives in accordance with grant deliverables and is an integral part of the WWBC team. They also have a deep interest in working to support business owners that are culturally and economically diverse.

This position allows you to live and work wherever you want within the state of Wyoming. Wyoming residency is required. Proximity doesn’t influence productivity and we work hard to ensure you have the tools required to succeed remotely. Just make sure you have a reliable internet connection and are available during your scheduled work hours.

The Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) Business Education Instructor will develop, design, and deliver business education webinars on various small business topics utilizing the Zoom webinar platform. Additionally, you will provide remote one-on-one instruction and counseling to individual WWBC clients via Zoom video and phone meetings.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: ​

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field: Business

  • 5 + years’ experience in business with expertise in one or more of the following, (Accounting, HR, Finance, Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing)

  • Adult teaching experience, higher education preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Self-Starter with great initiative; able to work independently

  • High level of initiative and interest in facilitating the growth and development of small businesses and the economy of Wyoming.

  • Excellent personal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with Wyoming small and micro businesses, public sector organizations, and individuals from a variety of economic and cultural circumstances

  • Impeccable personal integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality of customer data

  • Commitment to collaboration, team-building and professional development of self.

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams. Comfort in learning our database management software (CRM).

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching/lecturing online in higher education.

  • Experience teaching in-person and online.

  • Experience teaching over Zoom.

  • Experience with LMS.

  • Established network of professionals in Business to serve as guest speakers.
