Work of Art Facilitated Course: Summer 2024 Cohort

Join WWBC Artist Development Director Desirée Brothe for this 9-week facilitated 'Work of Art' Program. This beginner-level course is designed to help artists start a business based on their art practice. It is for artists and artisans unfamiliar with applying business and planning skills to their art-making practice.  This course will take you from the dream phase into reality as you set goals and learn time management skills. You'll create an artist statement and bio and learn analytical and practical approaches to applying a price point to your artwork. We'll dig into marketing strategy and messaging and look at ways to diversify your revenue streams. Together, we'll determine the best business structure for your business as we develop guidelines to help you move forward in your art business. Please plan on dedicating 3-4 hours per week to this course. Each weekly facilitated Zoom session is 45 minutes.
