ABOUT US:​

Founded in 1999, the Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) is a 501c3 private non-profit organization headquartered in Laramie, WY. Our mission is to enable and empower Wyoming entrepreneurs, with a special emphasis on women who are economically or socially disadvantaged. We do that through 3 distinct programs: (1) Business Counseling and Training, (2) Microloans, and (3) The  Artist Development Center.

This position resides within WWBC headquarters in Laramie, WY and is supported with access to computers, software programs, telephones, storage, and a private office.  

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The WWBC Executive Assistant is an integral part of the WWBC team and works very closely with the ED and Board of Directors. As the initial point of contact for many clients and statewide partners, the Executive Assistant is responsible for prioritizing communications on behalf of the ED and staff.  They are responsible for managing all WWBC administrative functions.   

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: ​

  • At least one year of work experience within a professional business setting. 

  • Strong computer skills: Various software programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams); comfort in learning our database management software.  

  • Well-developed organizational skills. 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, evaluate progress, and adjust activities to complete work within established time frames. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and donors 

  • Self-Starter with great initiative; able to work independently. 

  • Impeccable personal integrity: ability to maintain confidentiality of customer data and practice professional discretion. 

  • Commitment to collaboration, team-building and professional development of self. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: ​

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online  

  • Working knowledge of standard Human Resources policies within a non-profit organization. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support: 

  • Answering phone calls in a polite and professional manner. 

  • Writing and editing emails 

  • Drafting meeting minutes 

  • Preparing communications on the ED’s behalf. 

  • Organizing meetings; including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary. 

  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records. 

  • Performing accounting duties including budget maintenance, deposits, and generating reports.  

  • Welcoming visitors and identifying the purpose of the visit before directing them to the appropriate program. 

  • Managing the WWBC’s Human Resources files, ensuring they are up to date and accurate. 

  • Other duties as assigned to support the WWBC mission. 

JOB TYPE:

Full-time 32 hour/week; Located inside WWBC offices in Laramie, WY 

Pay: $29,000/yr. - 32,000/yr.
